JEDDAH: The action of the Saudi Professional League continued with six matches of round 15 played last night. Al-Ittihad widened the gap with Al-Hilal and remained on top of the league with 40 points after the important 1-0 win against Nasr at Jeddah’s Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. Nasr dropped to the sixth position after the loss with 21 points. The gap with the runner-up Hilal is widened to three points after Hilal failed to deliver against Al-Watani and instead drew goalless in Riyadh giving Hilal only one point. Hilal is second with 37 points from 16 matches. Al-Watani surprised Hilal fans that were searching for every point to catch up with Ittihad. Al-Watani is eleventh in the standings with nine points only.

In Najran, Ahli increased its points to 22 and jumped to fifth position from 13 matches after defeating Najran 4-1. Najran dropped to tenth position with 11 points.

Al-Ittifaq struck Shabab 2-1 in Dammam and extended their points to 23 in the fourth position while Shabab froze in third position with 29 points. Wehda defeated Abha in Makkah 4-0 and Al-Raid defeated Al-Hazem 1-0 in another action in Buraidah.
