AL-JOUF: Members of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Sakaka yesterday arrested a young Saudi for blackmailing a married woman. The woman had on an earlier occasion sought the youth’s help to complete formalities related to applying for a job. The man had made a recording of her conversation with him at that time.
He later demanded that she pay him SR1,000 and have sex with him. He threatened that he would send the tape to her husband if she refused to comply with his demands. The woman immediately complained to local members of the commission who set up a sting operation. The man was caught and handed over to local police, said Khalaf Al-Anazi, head of the commission’s branch in Sakaka.
