JEDDAH: Sameen and Muaz, students of DPS, won the first and second prizes of Quiz India 2009 organized by Indian School Parents Forum (ISPAF) here recently while Dilruba Sharief of International Indian School, Jeddah (IISJ), received the third prize.

Six students took part in the final round of the quiz at Rabeeh Al-Jazeera Polyclinic auditorium. The three others were Manhar Musafir of IISJ, Remil Mushtak of DPS and Shezin Ashraf of Al-Wurood International School.

Thirty-seven students from different schools took part in the previous phase of the program, organizers said, adding that nearly 100 students from eight schools participated in the first round of the competition.

Jaleel Malik of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and Abdul Aziz T, general secretary of ISPAF, were the quizmasters in the final round that was attended by a large number of people.

Salah Karadan, member of IISJ managing committee, DPS Principal Benjamin Simon, Emirates Sales Manager Sunil Kalliyath, Ramesh Babu Menon, ISPAF President Assainar, Musafir and P.M. Mayeenkutty, both Malayalam News staff, distributed prizes.
