DAMMAM: Professor Shyam Kumar Parashar, from the College of Medicine at King Saud University in Riyadh, urged parents not to impose their views on children while selecting their future career.

“Aptitude and capability of the child should be considered and given priority,” he said while speaking at a seminar organized by the International Indian School, Dammam as part of Career Fair 2009.

Syed Abdulla Rizvi, Saidali Kutty, and Shamsad Ahmed spoke on educational and career possibilities other than the usually sought after conventional courses such as medicine and engineering.

Mohammed Asghar Khan, chairman of the managing committee inaugurated the fair while Principal E.K. Mohammed Shaffe welcomed the guests. Shanu C. Thomas moderated the seminar and Anvar Batcha, vice principal proposed the vote of thanks.
