JEDDAH: Dauha Al-Uloom International School held its annual sports day here recently with a variety of competitions. M.V. Abdul Saleem, managing director of the school, emphasized the importance of such competitions, saying it would inculcate a spirit of sportsmanship and cooperation among students and enhance their leadership qualities.
Akbar Batcha, chairman of the International Indian School, Jeddah (IISJ) managing committee, was the chief guest. He urged students to take healthy food and maintain good mental and physical health. Earlier, Principal Martin welcomed the guests.
Competitors of the Blue House won the championship trophy. Tajuddin, a member of the IISJ managing committee, distributed medals and certificates to the winners. There was a drill display by the girls showing the formation of a rising sun and colored butterflies. Teachers and non-teaching staff took part in tug-of-war, musical chairs and relay race.
