DAMMAM: Civil Defense teams in Jubail rescued a 40-year-old Chinese laborer who apparently tried to commit suicide by jumping from a 25-meter high telecommunications tower inside his company’s premises.
Eastern Province Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Mansour Al-Dossary said the man worked for a national company in Jubail Industrial City. “We tried to talk him off his plans, but he refused to listen,” said Al-Dossary. “We then sent up two rescuers who took him by surprise. They overpowered him and took him down.”
He said the man became hysterical and was taken to hospital.
