HAIL: A Hail court authenticated yesterday the confession of a man accused of crimes against four children, including kidnapping, rape and murder.

The man has reportedly confessed to all of the crimes except the killing of one of the children, a three-year-old whose body was found by police in a remote area.

Authorities believe the man is responsible for the abduction, rape and killing of the three-year-old; the abduction and rape of a seven-year-old; and the abductions of a five-year-old and an eight-year-old.

The other three boys were later found alive and only one of them claims to have been sexually violated. Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zunaidi, spokesman for the Hail police, said they suspect the man was responsible for all of the crimes.

Security sources told Arab News that investigators have not yet determined the cause of death of the three-year-old, Mohsen Al-Saadi.

A team of forensic experts from Riyadh is participating in the investigation.

The series of abductions and rapes came to light when the father of Al-Saadi told the police that he suspected a man in a white Toyota Land Cruiser abducted his child. All the abductions took place in February and early March.
