Samba has launched a “new generation” online banking platform. Announcing this, Eisa M. Al-Eisa, MD and CEO of Samba Financial Group, said the new Samba banking website was designed by specialists and offered improved features and functionality. “This enables customers to access a wide range of banking services and products conveniently and securely using advanced applications,” he said. “The new site makes use of sophisticated, state-of-the-art technologies which offer customers seamless access to services by mobile phone or via the Internet,” Al-Eisa said. “It also combines a new, user-friendly design and increased speed, allowing users to access a world of integrated banking services more conveniently, which is a real breakthrough for e-banking services in the Kingdom.” Al-Eisa also added that Samba has obtained an ISO27001 certification, a validation of the world-class standards and superior security of Samba’s online and mobile banking services.

Mohammed Jameel, president of Abdul Latif Jameel Company (ALJ), recently opened the company’s branch in Zulfa, in line with the company’s “Customer Comes First” program. The new branch, spreading over an area of 9,500 square meters, includes an outstanding showroom and maintenance and after sale building with advanced facilities. The maintenance area offers quick service, as well as denting and painting services. The branch includes a huge spare parts warehouse and a guest waiting area, where guests can enjoy massage chairs, Internet and hospitality services. Addressing the opening ceremony, Jameel said the new branch was opened to provide top services to its customers at Zulfa. “Toyota is the top selling brand in the Qassim Province,” he added.

AL-RAJHI BANK

As part of its community services programs, Al-Rajhi Bank is participating in the environmental awareness campaign launched by the Riyadh Municipality “Outdoors Without Litter” which aims at cleaning up million square meters of outdoors. “By participating in this unique awareness campaign that will take place every Thursday for one month in cooperation with a number of governmental and private entities and schools, Al-Rajhi Bank aims to spread environmental awareness among community member,” said Yousuf Al-Shoaibi, community services manager. “The bank will be a key member of this important environmental campaign kicked off on Thursday at Al-Thumama area, north of Al-Owaidah roundabout. Al-Rajhi Bank employees took part in the cleaning exercise.”

Saudi Hollandi Bank has inaugurated a women’s branch in Riyadh. The new branch is in the upscale Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz (Tahlia) Street in north Riyadh and is part of the bank’s strategy of upgrading its services to women. The Tahlia Street Ladies’ Branch will offer a full range of Shariah-compliant banking and investment services to meet the personal and business needs of female customers. Faten Abalkhail, SHB’s head of ladies’ banking, said: “One of the bank’s top priorities is to develop a comprehensive range of banking and financial services for women.” She said that significant progress has been made by SHB in establishing the bank as a leader in women’s banking in the Kingdom. Increasing awareness of SHB’s quality services for women is already resulting in business growth. Abalkhail said that the women’s banking sector is developing rapidly in the Kingdom, a result of heightened financial awareness among Saudi women.
