JEDDAH: A lecture on the companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be held today at a venue close to the Isteqdam office here. Abdul Sattar Khan, a well-known journalist and researcher, will be the main speaker. "This is part of a monthly lecture series on 10 heavenly-bound companions of the Prophet," said Abdul Mateen Osmani, the main organizer.
Osmani said a new inspiring series of lectures on Omar bin Khattab, the second Caliph will begin today. Omar was one the greatest rulers of the world, he said, adding that during his era two super powers, the Parisian Empire and Roman Empire, were defeated.
