MADINAH: A Saudi woman was accidentally shot dead by her son in Madinah during a family outing in a picnic area outside of town yesterday.
Madinah police spokesman Col. Abdul Muhsin Al-Radadi said the child, whose age was not disclosed, found his father’s gun in the car. The boy discharged the loaded gun and a bullet struck his mother in the chest.
The woman was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital.Authorities are treating this as an accidental killing and no charges are being filed.
Al-Radadi urged citizens to keep weapons out of children’s reach.
