JEDDAH: Al-Nasr and Al-Ittifaq failed to secure a win in their pending away matches yesterday at the Saudi Professional League football tournament.

In Abha, Nasr failed to win against a team that is ranked 11th in the team standings. Abha forced Nasr to a 2-2 draw in a match from round 10.

Nasr remained in fifth place with 31 points while Abha was stuck in 11th place in the standings with 12 points. Abha is in critical situation and needs to score victories in its remaining three matches to avoid relegation to the First Division.

In Makkah, Wehda delivered a surprising victory against Ittifaq 1-0 in a pending match from round 8.

The result did Ahli a favor as it was hoping for Ittifaq to lose or draw the match. Wehda remained seventh with 23 points, while Ittifaq is sixth in with 28 points. The Saudi League action will continue on Saturday with round 20 matches.
