Kinan
Kinan International Real Estate Development, Savola Group and Ebela Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Bin Laden Group, have announced a landmark partnership that will turn a three million square meter land into a residential property at a cost of SR2.4 billion in Jeddah. Savola Group MD Sami Baroum, Saleh Bin Laden, representing Ebela Company, and Kinan CEO Nidal Jamjoom, singed the agreement. Baroum said: “We have strong confidence in Kinan, which has proved its capability in the development and management of a range of commercial centers across the Kingdom.” Jamjoom, said: “This is the first residential project for Kinan, and we are looking forward to be one of the main developers of housing projects for middle-income sector. The company’s entry into the residential sector comes after careful studies and owning good sites suitable for such projects.”
Bab Rizq Jameel
Jeddah Mayor Adel Fakieh opened the second branch of Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ) in Jeddah recently. Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of job creators in Bab Rizq Jameel, a program of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), welcomed the mayor. During this year, approximately eight branches will be opened throughout the Kingdom. BRJ is a center for job creation opportunities in various vocational and professional fields, or job opportunities created by small microfinance projects. The center also maintains database on the job opportunities available in private companies. With support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), the center provides training ending with employment programs. Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture Abdul Aziz Khoja paid a visit to the newly opened second BRJ branch in Jeddah. Khoja appreciated women for owning small projects and applying their creative ideas. The new branch is the fourth in the Kingdom.
Premco Ready Mix
Premco Ready Mix, an affiliate of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), signed a SR130 million contract with Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman College for Girls for the supply of 500,000 cubic meters of ready mix concrete for the construction of the prestigious educational institution headquarters in Riyadh. During the signing ceremony, Faysal Alaquil, CPC’s director, business development, and official spokesperson said: “The contract we recently signed is a new addition to our portfolio of unique mega projects throughout Saudi Arabia. We are proud to be one of the major contributors to this stunning educational edifice, which when completed will have the facilities of the highest standards suited for the pursuit of academic excellence, which will provide a world class quality education for its citizens.”
Al-Rajhi Bank
Al-Rajhi Bank is participating in the “Outdoors Without Litter” environmental awareness campaign launched by the Riyadh Municipality, which aims at cleaning up million square meters of outdoors. “By participating in this unique awareness campaign that will take place every Thursday for one month in cooperation with a number of governmental and private entities and schools, Al-Rajhi Bank aims to spread environmental awareness among community members,” said the bank’s Community Services Manager Yousuf Al-Shoaibi.

LG Electronics, a worldwide technology and design major in mobile communications, and Prada Group, world’s leading fashion brand, have announced the global launch of their successor to the Prada phone by LG. Nissan
Nissan Middle East is once again aiming to bring a smile to children’s faces this year by repeating its sponsorship of the successful UK hit “The Gruffalo’s Child”, a musical adaptation of the award-winning children’s picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The Gruffalo, which is currently part of the curriculum in several UAE schools is a modern classic and has won UK retailer WHSmith’s “Children’s Book of the Year” award in 2005. “Our sponsorship of ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ musical is just one example of Nissan’s social commitment to enrich lives with entertainment and education” said Monal Zeidan, GM, marketing and corporate communications department at Nissan Middle East.
