JEDDAH: The summary court in Jeddah has sentenced a Sudanese to five months in prison and deportation after serving his time for impersonating a policeman to rob the homes of foreigners.

The man would gain entry into people’s homes by posing as an undercover officer and then steal cash and valuables.

He was arrested after entering an apartment occupied by a number of Bangladeshi workers in north Jeddah. One of the workers became suspicious after listening to the man’s accent and reported him to the police.
