JEDDAH: Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), an initiative of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), successfully created 3,493 job opportunities during last March through its diversified job creation programs implemented at each of its branches throughout the Kingdom.
This achievement was made with support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and close cooperation with the Saudi Credit & Saving Bank, other governmental authorities and private companies and establishments.
During the month, BRJ created 350 job opportunities through its training and ending with employment program.
In addition, 753 job opportunities have been created through its direct employment programs, with support from HRDF. Salaries ranged from SR1,800 and SR3,500. Males occupied 408 jobs while females occupied 345 jobs.
Also during March, 421 small projects were financed at an average of SR45,000 for each project.
Projects financed for males were 196, compared with 225 for females. Through taxi ownership and truck ownership programs, 79 cars and 78 trucks were provided for young Saudis.
In addition, 1,812 women received microfinance through the productive household program. BRJ has already inaugurated two new female centers during March in Makkah (Rusaifa Street) and in Jeddah (Kandara district (Sitteen Street).
In other area, 1,600 prayer rugs have been produced during March through “work from home” program, which is supervised by Nafisa Shams Academy for Arts and Crafts in cooperation with BRJ. Sixty females produced the rugs from their homes.
