MAKKAH: An optical store and two pharmacies here have been closed down for violating regulations, officials said yesterday.
One of the pharmacies was in Al-Malawi district and was run by a laborer who would also examine patients and administer injections. The other pharmacy was in Al-Rusaifah district.
The optical store, run by a private driver, was in Al-Awali district. He was caught examining a young woman.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahmadi, director of Medical and Pharmaceutical Licenses, said officials would continue surprise inspections throughout the week.
