RIYADH: Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook appointed Imtiaz Ahmed as the chairman of the Indian International School in Riyadh (IISR) yesterday.

Ahmed is expected to assign portfolios to other six members of the board of management today at a special meeting to be held at the school premises in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.

The other members of the board of management include the outgoing chairman Talib Al-Rahman, Dr. Mohana Gowda, Shah Gulam Subhani, Bathran Menon, Chandrasekharan Nair and Khurshid Khan.

“I plan to march ahead with the fullest cooperation of the other members of the board as well as from the parents who are keen on taking the school to new heights,” Ahmed told Arab News yesterday.
