RIYADH: The committee for activating recommendations of the recently concluded 3rd Disability and Rehabilitation Conference has started coordinating with official research, scientific and educational bodies as well as various ministries, said Abdul Aziz Al-Magooshi, deputy director general of the Prince Sultan Humanitarian Foundation.
The committee is working toward drafting a mechanism to carry out recommendations to fulfill the vision of participants to improve the lives of the disabled people.
A ceremony was organized yesterday in the presence of Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Disabled Children’s Association (DCA) and supervisor general of the conference, to honor organizations that supported the event and its working committees.
Some 2,300 delegates, representing more than 40 countries, attended the conference, which was held in Riyadh recently.
The ceremony took place at DCA with officials from Prince Sultan Foundation, the board of directors of Prince Salman Disability Research Center, and a number of representatives of organizing establishments in attendance.
Media companies and supporting companies were honored during the occasion as well as members of the committees for their various efforts.
