MAKKAH: Officials from Makkah Municipality recently raided several locations in Al-Nakkasa district of Makkah, seizing a large quantity of rotten meat and fish.
The officials raided 10 fishmongers and 14 butchers and seized 3,300 kg of edible goods that was unfit for human consumption.
Municipality officials said that the campaign was launched to monitor the quality of meat and fish sold in Makkah, and ascertain whether butchers and fishmongers were meeting health and safety standards.
