RIYADH: Ahmad Al-Shamlani Al-Anazi, a Saudi, was executed in Riyadh yesterday for murdering a man and his young son.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, Al-Anazi kidnapped a boy, Muhammad Abdullah Al-Khudairy, and brought him to a supermarket. He later strangled the boy to death.
When the father, Abdullah, who was waiting outside, ventured inside to look for his son, the killer bludgeoned him to death with a heavy metal object. The killer, who worked at the supermarket, then hid the man’s body next to that of his son and fled the area.
The murderer also threatened to attack police when they tried to arrest him.
Police arrested the man inside the supermarket in Riyadh’s Al-Seli area.
A police spokesman earlier said that investigations showed that the man was in some dispute with the father and killed the boy in retaliation.
