RIYADH: Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) has announced a huge discount on its international roaming rates including data, Jawal Net, MMS, e-mail and Blackberry services by 75 percent for all the international roaming customers from June 1.
A press release issued by STC claims that the unified roaming and data roaming prices is the lowest compared with its competitors in the region. This was achieved by strategic partnerships with international operators in order to provide the best services with the lowest price for STC customers wherever they may go. The announcement comes ahead of summer vacation that witnesses rapid travel movements outside the Kingdom.
The Unified International Roaming service is one of the unique services STC introduces depending on strategic relationships with the telecommunication industry leaders around the world. It provides customers with fixed economic rates for calls and data services with full transparency.
The Unified International Roaming network covers 30 countries around the world and divides these countries into groups with unified rate for each group of countries regardless of the change of currency exchange rates or the call time. The total number of agreements signed by STC is now more than 1,000, covering services that include post-paid, prepaid, Internet, 3G, MMS and international video call roaming.
