BURAIDAH: The ministry of education in Al-Basr, west of Buraidah in Qassim province, is investigating an incident where a substitute bus driver waved a gun at his passengers, elementary students for an elementary school for girls, mysteriously demanding they smoke — or else. It’s not clear if the girls followed his demands or not, but they made it to school safely. Then, of course, the school principal found out what had transpired and confronted the driver, who panicked and refused to give straight answers, according to a report in yesterday’s Al-Jazirah newspaper. When the principal confronted the bus company the administration there said they were not aware of any substitute bus driver.
