JEDDAH: A Chinese man has been arrested in Jeddah for the murder of a fellow Chinese following an argument, said Col. Misfer Al-Juaid, official spokesman for Jeddah police.
“We received reports about a body in a street. Forensic police arrived at the location to gather evidence and it was discovered that the man had been stabbed several times,” said Al-Juaid.
He added that witnesses were able to provide a description of the attacker, who worked for an industrial company in Jeddah. “The attacker was arrested a few hours later in the same neighborhood where the body was found,” he said, adding that the man tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment and then to a police station for questioning. He has not confessed to the murder,” said Al-Juaid.
