JEDDAH: Pakistan Repatriate Council (PRC) has urged the governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh to solve the issue related to the Pakistanis stranded in Bangladesh. At its meetings held here earlier this week, the council passed resolutions urging Pakistan to create a Nuclear Research Academy under Abdul Qadeer Khan for peaceful purposes and thus boost the country’s economy and reduce its dependence on international loans.
It resolved to extend support to the uprooted people of the Swat region. “Like the stranded Pakistanis they have the right to settle anywhere in Pakistan,” the resolution said. It urged the Pakistan government to reactivate the Rabita Trust and restart the process of repatriation and rehabilitation of the stranded Pakistanis. Bangladesh should also play its role in solving the issue, the council said.
