JEDDAH: The Azad group topped the four finalist teams of children in the Edu-tain2 or Education through entertainment general knowledge quiz competition organized by Indian Cultural Congress (ICC) Jeddah Chapter at the Indian Consulate recently.
Hundreds of children participated in Edu-tain2 that was part of activities to celebrate ICC 25th anniversary in Jeddah. The quizmaster was C. Paul Joy, headmaster of the IISJ.
The Azad group comprised Omer Aqeel Khan, Hamdan M.R., Shaz Mohammed and Rica Elizabeth. Second position went to Nehru Group made up of Manhar Musafir, Mohammed Fazil, Amir Iqbal, Omer Abdul Hameed, and in Kids Group competition winners were Zayan Zakir Hussain, Daliya Sharif and Zameel.
Sharif Kunju, president of the ICC, welcomed the guests, Salah Karadan, chairman of the management committee, IISJ, inaugurated the function. Indian Consul General Sayeed Ahmed Bawa was the chief guest. He congratulated the organizers for motivating the youth to get involve in constructive activities.
The second part of the program saw the children presenting a colorful cultural program.
