AMMAN: Jordan and Canada yesterday inked four agreements designed to boost bilateral economic ties, including a free trade accord, the first to be signed between Canada and an Arab country.

The other three agreements covered encouragement of investments, labor and environment, according to an official statement.

The four accords were signed by Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Amer Al-Hadidi and the Canadian International Trade Minister Stockwell Day in the presence of Prime Minister Nader Dahabi.
