MAKKAH: Police in Alkhobar have arrested a Filipino woman for allegedly killing another Filipino woman, her friend for over 20 years.
Col. Yousuf Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the Eastern Province police, said police launched a massive search for the killer after discovering the woman’s body last week in her apartment.
“The suspect said she had an argument with the victim in which she took a kitchen knife and stabbed her several times,” Al-Qahtani told Arab News by telephone. “She has admitted to the crime and her confession has been authenticated by the court. She will later appear in front of a judge for sentencing,” he added.
Police in the Eastern Province have also arrested a man who stopped motorists posing as a police officer and then took their cash and cell phones. The man was arrested after a citizen reported him to police. He was drunk at the time of arrest.
