MAKKAH: Officials of the Passport Department on Saturday arrested 5,706 illegal workers in various districts of Makkah. Most of them were caught while working as car washers and hawkers at road intersections in and around Nakasah districts. Many of the detainees did not have documents to prove their identity or nationality, a source at the Passport Department said on Saturday.
