TABUK: Police in Tabuk arrested an expatriate worker for allegedly killing a truck driver in Shaqri on Tabuk-Dhuba Road, according to Brig. Saleh Al-Harbi, spokesman for Tabuk police.
Security officers searched for the killer after hearing the news of a body being found near a petroleum truck in an area far from residential districts in Shaqri, 90 km from Tabuk.
"Circumstantial evidence and forensic tests showed that the victim had been beaten on his head and neck and the body had been mutilated but no material proof of any criminal act was found at the site," Al-Harbi said.
He said the alleged killer was arrested after intensive patrolling and inspections at checkpoints. "The arrest took place in less 24 hours," the spokesman said, adding that the expatriate man had acknowledged the crime in front of investigators.
