ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Egypt agreed to enhance their bilateral cooperation in various sectors of defense, particularly in training courses and intelligence and other related matters. Defense officials said the joint session of the 8th Pak-Egypt Military Cooperation Committee meeting was concluded on Wednesday at the Ministry of Defense.
Both sides expressed their pleasure that the MCC is helpful in providing opportunities to both sides to keep abreast on the current critical regional situation.
Maj. Gen. Tawheed Tawfeeq Abdel Sameea, chief of planning, led the Egyptian delegation while Rear Admiral Shafqat Javed led the Pakistani side.
The meeting ended on a note that cooperation through exchange of information, training courses and frequent contacts could enhance defense ties.
