The Mansoura International School, Riyadh, (MISR) is ranked as one of the well-equipped, world-class schools in the Middle East with extensive facilities for Pakistani and foreign students, according to a survey of independent panel of parents.
“The vision of MIS extends beyond the narrow walls of the classrooms and textbooks as it intends to give the students of Saudi Arabia a truly global perspective by providing international level schooling facilities,” said Rana Abdul Rauf, chairman of the MIS Advisory Council, while speaking on the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day, in Riyadh on Thursday.
Rauf said two prominent Pakistani academicians — Khawaja Zafar Elahi and Mohammed Asif Qureshi — are working on the advisory panel of the MIS. Elahi and Qureshi are associate professors in the Mathematics Department of the Riyadh-based King Saud University (KSU), and they have used their expertise to make MIS a high-profile quality education center.
Elahi said, MIS's mission is to promote education with Islamic values. He said that the school, which has 1,000 students, had been chosen by the Pakistan Federal Board as nodal point to run teachers training programs. He said that admissions is open for students of all nationalities in different classes, ranging from KG to Grade 10.
