RIYADH: Educational and interactive leisure activities were the highlights of the “Joy of Success” charity event organized by the women’s chapter of the Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans (Insan) early this month. Two hundred and fifty children were hosted at a daylong event, which included several educational and interactive activities.
Members and volunteers from the women’s section of Insan treated the children to various fun games, special storytelling sessions and other educational activities. A special corner was set up for younger participants.
Insan, established in 1999 and headed by Prince Faisal bin Salman, has spent over SR130 million in assisting more than 30,000 orphans.
“These children need to know that despite the hardships that they have gone through, there are people and organizations like Insan that are more than willing to extend a helping hand. These efforts will hopefully help nurture these children, who will potentially be future leaders and innovators,” said Munther Al-Harthi, general manager of Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., which sponsored the event.
