RIYADH: Saad Al-Baddah, chairman of the National Recruitment Committee, cautioned on Saturday citizens against negligence in conducting the compulsory medical checkups for their newly recruited foreign workers soon after their arrival in the Kingdom.
“We have noticed that some citizens show negligence in conducting medical checkups. They delay it for over two months. Such negligence could cause the spread of contagious diseases in the country,” Al-Baddah told the Saudi Press Agency.
“Our world is facing a swine flu pandemic. So citizens should be aware of the significance of such precautionary medical checkups,” he said. He urged citizens to conduct medical checkups for their newly recruited workers soon after their arrival without failure to prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
“Even after undergoing medical tests in their countries of origin workers could contract diseases before their departure to the Kingdom or while passing through different airports,” Al-Baddah pointed out.
