We will not be astonished when we see our markets full of fake and counterfeit goods. This is something we have been used to. We have also been used to the unjustified silence of the concerned government organs regarding the safety and validity of these goods.

We are also used to seeing the consumer standing alone in the face of the commercial avarice being thrown by the waves of counterfeit goods without anyone helping him with a life buoy!

We have become accustomed to all these things and more. But when it comes to trading in the lives of our children, then this is something unusual. We will not be accustomed to it or keep silent about it.

I want to ask our brothers in the customs, trade and health departments as well as in municipalities about the secret behind the spread of dangerous toys for children that are not subject to any regulations that would guarantee their safety and suitability to children.

How did such toys reach our shops?

I want to ask our brothers in the government departments responsible for the safety and health of consumers in the Kingdom how they are allowed to sell substandard inflatable water wings whose nozzles pop open at unexpected times, threatening the lives of our children!

For how long will some people continue to treat lives as being cheaper than the counterfeit and substandard goods which are openly sold in our markets.
