JEDDAH: Jeddah police has arrested a 28-year-old foreigner on suspicion that he was the perpetrator that raped a nine-year-old girl about eight months ago, a local daily reported Monday.
The paper quoted police spokesman Col. Misfir Al-Juaid as saying the culprit is being interrogated at Al-Nuzlatain police station. The man allegedly confessed to his crime.
According to the newspaper, the man was driving a motorbike when he saw the girl walking alone.
He offered to give her a ride. When she got up, he took her to a remote area where he raped the girl and then dropped her off near her home suffering injuries from the assault.
