RIYADH: Four Asian passengers carrying electricity cables in the back of a pick up truck came under scrutiny of a Saudi police patrol, who discovered on inspection stolen cables in their possession.
Police stopped the pick up for an inspection and they discovered 150 meters of electricity cables taken from a construction site. Police also found a big cutting machine used to extract and cut electricity cables and also two equipment bags that were used in the theft. Police arrested the four suspects and transferred them to the police station for questioning.
In related news, police in Riyadh caught two people in the Al-Aqiq neighborhood in the act of stealing car parts. The two parked their Toyota next to a car and were pilfering parts from it. When they saw the police, they panicked and tried to flee the scene. Police gave chase and arrested the two.
The police also nabbed two people for stealing a motorbike. The two people were riding the bike when the police approached them during a routine check. The two immediately dismounted from the motorbike and fled the scene. They did not get far as police chased and arrested them. They confessed to stealing the bike in Al-Bat’ha neighborhood. They were transferred to the police station for investigation.
