JEDDAH: Moroccan actress Maysa Maghrebi plays the role of a princess in the Bedouin drama series “Finjan Al-Dam” (“Cup of Blood”) along with Jamal Sulaiman, who plays the main role as the prince, fighter, poet and lover. The series is currently being shown on MBC satellite channel. In an interview with Sayidaty women’s magazine, a sister publication of Arab News, Sulaiman said his wife, Rana Salman, was not jealous about Maysa acting with her husband. “She did not tell me anything about that because she knows the nature of my work. My wife and Maysa know each other and she told me that Maysa is the right person to do that role,” the star said. “When I participate in a love story, my wife wants that the actress who plays with me should be convincing to the public.” According to Sulaiman, his wife Rana looks at his acting role as art imitating life. “She does not look at it like a jealous wife,” he said. On her part, Maysa said she loved the role of a Bedouin woman in the film. “Finjan Al-Dam” is a great work. It brings to our mind the real life of Bedouins. The presence of excellent actors, artists and producers have made the film marvelous,” she added. “Everybody played their roles in the best manner and worked as one team. It was the main reason for the success of the film.”
