JEDDAH: A Saudi man reportedly committed suicide in Bahra by hanging himself inside his home on Tuesday, the daily Al-Madinah reported on Sunday. Police received reports from neighbors who said the man was found dead inside his home. A forensics team arrived at the location and gathered evidence. Police said the incident was suicide and ruled out any criminal involvement.
Family row ends in fatal stabbing
QATIF: A 28-year-old Saudi man was killed on Saturday after his 18-year-old brother allegedly stabbed him in the back numerous times. Police received reports that a Qatif hospital received a man in critical condition with stab wounds to his back. The man died in hospital shortly after his arrival. Police said the victim was psychologically ill and was in a fight with his father. The younger brother tried to calm him down but when he couldn’t, he took a knife and stabbed the brother in the back. The younger brother said the victim was taken more than once to a mental hospital, but each time he was released he refused to continue his medication.
Woman crashes vehicle, dies
NAJRAN: A Saudi woman in her 50s died in a car accident on Saturday. The woman was driving a small pick-up truck with her friend. She crashed into another pick-up truck driven by an old man. The body of the woman was taken to the general morgue and the injured were taken to hospital for treatment. Police are still investigating the accident.
