JEDDAH: The two women media persons, who were taken to court for questioning in connection with the case of the Saudi man who bragged in detail about his sexual adventures in an LBC weekly program, are not accused but witnesses, a spokesman of Jeddah police said Tuesday.
Speaking to Arab News, Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouk said the two women have not been arrested by police nor are they on bail.
Meanwhile, informed sources said the Jeddah Summary Court, which is looking into the case of Mazen Abdul Jawad, the bragger, had not ignored the letter of Abdul Jawad's lawyer demanding the transfer of the case to the Ministry of Information.
But Judge Abdullah Al-Othaim of the court insisted that the case, being related to immorality, had nothing to do with the ministry. The court has denied a request to release Abdul Jawad.
