DAMMAM: The Civil Defense received a report of a fire at a wedding hall, but when they arrived all they found were four women in fisticuffs. According to a report in Friday’s Al-Jazirah newspaper, a disgruntled wife called in the false fire report because her husband was getting married to another woman. The authorities broke up the fight and treated two of the women for injuries. Considering the wedding fire that killed 43 people in Kuwait back in August, it’s nice to see the Civil Defense taking reports of wedding fires seriously. And we can at least be thankful that the wife wasn’t so scorned as to have actually started a fire.
