RIYADH: Education Minister Prince Faisal bin Abdullah ordered the appointment of Ali bin Siddiq Al-Hakami as the director general of Tatwir (The King Abdullah Project for General Education Development).
Al-Hakami, who holds a doctorate in psychology from Oregon University and other specializations in business management, has published a number of theses and articles in various local and international journals. He is also an expert in TIMSS and participated in the designing of various educational projects launched by UNESCO and UNICEF, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday.
Tatwir is a pioneering project named after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah who wants to reform the country's education system.
