JEDDAH: Etihad Etisalat’s (Mobily’s) net profits for the third quarter of 2009 jumped by 50 percent compared to the same period of 2008.
Q3 net profits were at SR807 million, beating the SR539 million in net profits for the same quarter in 2008. Q3’s net profits also saw a 20 percent increase over those of Q2, the net profits of which had reached SR675 million. Gross profits for Q3 reached SR1.982 billion, an increase of 26 percent over 2008’s Q3, which stood at SR1.573 billion.
Mobily Chairman Abdulaziz Al-Saghyir said that the company’s agile responses to competition helped it succeed in both voice and data services.
