JEDDAH: Aircraft makers Boeing has given a half million riyals to an initiative that aims to give disabled children a chance to attend mainstream schools and boost their career prospects.
The money will support the Jeddah-based Hope for Exceptional Needs Center’s Early Intervention Program, which also aims to strengthen the country’s work force. The funds will be used to set up fully-equipped facilities to increase the children’s long-term educational achievements and provide access to resources for them and their families.
“Our support to the Hope Center in Saudi Arabia is part of our long-standing commitment to Saudi Arabia that covers community-based initiatives such as the Early Intervention Program. We always look at ways to help all children access high quality education and benefit from opportunities to develop their skills in order to become productive and engaged members of society,” said Ahmed Jazzar, president of Boeing Saudi Arabia.
“Hope for Exceptional Needs Center is doing commendable work in helping disabled children and we are happy to take part in this program,” he added.
