RIYADH: The Prince Ahmed bin Salman Institute for Applied Media on Sunday signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to support media development and training in the business and media sectors.
Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of the institute’s board of directors, signed the agreement with Abdul Rahman Al-Jeraisy, chairman of RCCI.
The agreement will strengthen the efforts of both parties to develop the media sector and other related sectors to train and qualify Saudis, an official statement said.
Prince Faisal said the integrated efforts of the two organizations to train and qualify Saudis in the media sector would have a positive impact in making trained personnel available in the public relations and media sections of public and private institutions.
“This agreement will give Saudi youths greater opportunities to get trained and gain skills in technical and editing areas and compete with others,” he said.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Dalaigan, managing director of the institute, said the agreement would help understand the media training requirement in the job market and help the institute’s graduates to get jobs.
“The most important aspect of this partnership is the selection of the best training experts to participate in the preparation and execution of the training program,” he said.
