JEDDAH: Al-Ahli and Al-Nasr shared six goals and two points in one of the best matches witnessed this season in the Saudi professional league round nine encounter at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal stadium in Jeddah. The match ended 3-3.
Ahli took the lead in the 3rd minute through Hasan Al-Raheb. Javier Tulido got the second with a header from inside the penalty box in the 28th minute.
Saheb Al-Abdullah scored just before the change of ends with another header from inside the box to make it 3-0
As one would think that Ahli would add more to their kitty in the second half they were in for a surprise.
Nasr had other plans. They were not the same team the spectators watched in the first half and turned tables on their rivals.
Victor Figuero reduced the margin for Nasr soon after resumption to make it 3-1. Rayyan Belal took advantage of poor Ahli defending in the 76th minute to score the second goal for Nasr 3-2.
Nasr shocked the Ahli fans two minutes later when Victor Figuero leveled the score following a fine shot from inside the penalty box 3-3.
Ahli is currently in the fifth position in the standings with 11 points while Nasr is sixth with seven points.
In another match, Al-Hilal got the better of Al-Ittifaq 2-0 in Dammam to secure three crucial points. Yaser Al-Qahtani opened their account in the 21st minute while Christian Wilhemsson made the issue safe in the 51st minute.
Hilal remained on top with 25 points while Ittifaq is at the bottom with only two points.
In the third and final match of the day, Wehda and Al-Fateh drew goalless.
Al-Hazem will take on Qadesiya in the only match to be played on Sunday.
