MAKKAH: The municipality has dedicated 2,229 locations at the holy sites for stalls, kiosks, bakeries, restaurants, service centers and others. Director of Municipal Investments Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Shaili said spots were also given to pharmacies and automatic teller machines. He pointed out that a number of locations were given to large national companies specializing in catering to provide food for pilgrims. Makkah Mayor Osama Al-Bar made a tour Monday of these places to make sure they were properly functioning.
