JEDDAH: Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, is expected to return soon to the Kingdom after spending more than a year in the US and Morocco for treatment and recovery.
The Shoura Council announced Monday that Prince Sultan and Riyadh Gov. Prince Salman, who accompanied the crown prince during his trip, would soon arrive in the Kingdom. It also wished good health to the crown prince.
Main roads in Riyadh, including King Fahd Road and Makkah Road as well as major squares have been decorated with nearly 2,000 banners with photos of the Saudi leadership and 30,000 Saudi flags to welcome the crown prince.
Some government departments and private companies have started placing large billboards welcoming Prince Sultan and wishing him good health.
Riyadh municipality is reportedly making arrangements to hold a major ceremony to mark the occasion.
