DAMMAM: A police officer was killed in Makkah on the Jubail-Dammam Highway while transporting a prisoner, Al-Yaum daily reported on Friday. The officer was transporting the prisoner to King Fahd International Airport when the police car overturned killing the police officer and injuring the prisoner inside. Police said that the reason behind the accident is still under investigation. The prisoner was taken to Qatif hospital in critical condition.
