JEDDAH: A week after lying low Insektos were back in the limelight to clinch their fourth Team of the Week award, the most by any team thus far, during the 10th session of the Faris Trading Monday Night League 11th Season at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center in Mosadia Plaza here.

Owner of the first perfect score of 48 points in the tournament, Insektos delivered another outstanding performance to tally the top total of 43 points as they pulled farther away from the pack at the halfway mark of this five-man team league event.

No other team hit in the neighborhood of 40 points with Sky Freight-TFC a distant second on 38 points followed by Jeddah Lanes on 37 points, Shawly Restaurant on 34 and Faris Trading on 30.

International wound up sixth place on the night with 29 points. Inserts Amigo had 27.5 to be on seventh, while Al Mottawer Group had 25 for eighth position. D’ Barkads, My Angel, Bugshan Est. and Grave Vibration were the last three finishers of the session on 15, 13.5, 11 and 9 points.

To Sky Freight’s Jun Henoguin went the Bowler of the Week award as he carded the high series of 685 on lines of 186, 191 and 290.

Insektos became the night’s No. 1 on the strength of their first-place finishes in the second game and overall output even as Jeddah Lanes and Sky Freight-TFC ruled the opening and closing games.

Mark Hernandez, Zaldy Parinas, and Andy Yumena rolled big rounds of 677, 655 and 634 to be at the helm of Insektos who also netted valuable contributions of 233-226 from Rey Beltran, 244-215 from Hero Garcia, 208 from Nonie Yap and 180 from Alex Tabusares.

Veteran Cris Villavelez, Goying Salazar and Randy Mata provided the support for Henoguin at Sky Freight, shooting 671, 621 and 614 in that order. Pancho Cuevas added a pair of 190s and James Galvan contributed 173.

The host bowlers had Gerry Tano at the top of the scoring ladder on 655 followed by Gerry Mandanas 633 and Jun Palacios 616. The other scorers were Rene Santiago 256-216, Victor Pagayon 198-205 and Rudy Valenzuela 106-166.

Joel Nidoy was the top man at Shawly Restaurant with a series of 679, while Ruel Perez and Nestor Sanosa came through with 655 and 646.

Bonnie Garcia led Faris Trading with 661 that went with the 613 by Nick Gozun, 6098 by league organizer Igna Salgado and 603 by Rally Zamora.
