JAZAN: Gov. of Jazan Prince Muhammad bin Nasser will inaugurate next Monday two housing projects in Ahud Al-Masarha and Damad built at a cost of SR15 million as a gift to the residents of these two southern towns by the Crown Prince Sultan Welfare Organization.
The governor expressed thanks and appreciation to the deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation for this kind gesture that is aimed at relieving the suffering of the poor and needy by providing them with housing opportunities.
The project consists of 50 housing units in Ahud Al-Masarha each occupying an area of 400 square meters and 25 units in Damad with the same area.
The gift of Prince Sultan also included a health center in the village of Al-Raha on an area of 500 square meters at a cost of SR800,000, an artesian well, a water tank and water pipes network in the village of Hasamah at a cost of SR700,000.
The Girls Education Department in Jazan, the Boys Education Department in Sabya and the municipality of Ahud Al-Masarha and Damad supervised the construction of the project.
Meanwhile, heavy fighting was reported at the border on Sunday morning.
“With the support of the Saudi Royal Air Force, the armed forces repulsed a large group of infiltrators who were attempting to sneak back to the Dukhan Mountain on early morning on Sunday,” a military source said.
The source added: “A large number of infiltrators were killed in a pitched battle in the Al-Jabri village and Al-Rumaih Mountain. Forty of them surrendered to our forces. This is a new border crossing invented by the infiltrators from Wadi Dahwan territory in Yemen.”
