JEDDAH: Barracuda Arabia scored a convincing 138-run win over Desert Warriors in the Premier Division Cricket League, sponsored by Initial Landscaping Company and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association at ground No. 3.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Barracuda piled up a massive 282 for 3 wickets in the allotted 18 overs.

Aslam (78 n.o.), Hafeez (77), Irfan Qureshi (45) and Furkhan (44) were the top scorers for Barracuda Arabia.

Rehan took two wickets.

The Desert Warriors in reply could manage to score only 144 for 6.

Saleem Mirza (61) and Rizwan (30) were the only two batsmen who put up a fight. Faraz took two wickets.

In the other match played during the 8th week, Kanoo got the better of Saliheen Cricketers by 60 runs

Kanoo scored 199 for 5 wickets. After the early fall of Rashid Khurshid for 4, Majid Siddiqui stood firm at one end and accelerated the scoring rate as he hit 58 runs. The other batsman who has shown form was Wasim who was the highest run-getter with an unbeaten 60.

Fast bowler Rizwan had 2 for 24. In reply the Saliheen openers started well as Qaisar hit a fine 49 runs and was supported by Akhlaq who made 26. However, the rest of the batsmen failed miserably and the innings folded for 139 for 9 in 18 overs.

Spinner Majid Sheikh took 3 for 19.
